Research & Development in Progress

History of Nambour and its Families

This is an ongoing project of great importance because of the huge growth and changes which are now occurring in and around Nambour. Photographs, memorabilia, souvenirs, artefacts and the like relating to Nambour and District are always desired. (Contact : Barbara Want 5441 2083)

Businesses in Nambour

From the turn of last century, local business people played a significant role in the development of the town and its services. The newly formed Nambour Progress Association was instrumental in advancing the arrival of the telephone service, plans for a Shire Hall, improvements to mail deliveries and rail services and so on. This ongoing project is focussed on the role and evolution of local businesses and is keen to secure related information, artifacts and human interest stories over the past 100 years.  (Contact : Barbara Want 5441 2083)
