Reference Library
The Nambour Museum has an extensive collection of publications, reference materials and documents pertaining to the local area. Visitors are welcome to inspect the library and conduct personal research during office hours for a nominal sum. Photocopying facilities are also available.
Collections
The Museum has an impressive array of artefacts most of which are assembled on display in rooms dealing with specific topics. An increasing number of personal collections are also held and these provide a wonderful insight into local heritage. These include pioneering families, early businesses, cane farming receipts and an early bootmaker’s shop.
Photographs
A marvellous range of black and white photographs taken around the turn of the century plus others from the depression era provide a thought provoking insight into the early days of Nambour. These and others from a wide range of collections are accessible.
Publications for Sale
The keen interest of local historians is reflected in a wide range of special publications produced to either commemorate special events or to satisfy the curiosity surrounding local features. These publications may be inspected at the Museum with copies of most available for sale for a small price.
