Nambour & District Historical Museum

Display: War Memories

War trenchThe two great wars had a significant impact on the Nambour district with many locals serving their country. Until recent years, the district was one of the most productive agricultural areas in south-east Queensland with a thriving sugar industry including a local mill, dairying and tropical fruits. The War Memories Rooms located on the upper (ground level) of the main building provide a timely reminder of the personal sacrifices made by local people and families during the Australia's hour of need.
