Display: Local businesses
The Nambour Museum is developing an intriguing collection of material and items relating to the conduct of commercial activities in the town since the turn of last century. While much has been lost with developments which have occurred over the years, some interesting exhibits have been secured. For instance, the entire collection of tools from Potter's Bootmaking Shop is on display in the downstairs area of the main building. The museum is keen to secure more artefacts as the town of Nambour was the commercial hub of the Sunshine Coast and hinterland until quite recently. Along with the natural growth, the town centre has been subjected to fires and floods on a regular basis and these events have impacted on local businesses and local business people.
